Such a casual look this week that my hair hasn’t even dried (I don’t do hairdryers) yet!

It’s been a weekend of rushing around running errands and then kicking back with some of my oldest friends over a bottle or so – proper soul food (and some rather delicious dopiaza and coconut ice cream), but not really leaving much time for blogging so Sleepy, Slippered And Slightly Soggy Sunday Cat you get!

At the moment, as is perfectly normal for me, I am surrounded by birds. Unsurprisingly for flocking creatures, they’re sociable little beasties and like to hang around together and with us, so my Sunday morning cup-of-coffee-while-gazing-out-the-patio-doors routine usually involves having a bird on each shoulder and one on my head. Combine their sociable natures with the fact that I have a daylight bulb in the lamp next to me for knitting purposes (Birds can see ultraviolet light – they have a rather expensive full-spectrum avian bulb near their cage – and clearly enjoy natural light. They’ll sunbathe if the light’s streaming in from outside, but it’s October and the light is weak and watery outside.) and you get this:
